FAQs About Sleep Apnea
Symptoms may differ from person to person, but typically, if you have sleep apnea, you may experience the following:
• Loud snoring
• Waking up gasping for breath

No. There are two kinds: central sleep apnea (CSA) and obstructive sleep apnea (OSA). OSA is the sleep apnea that is caused by a blockage of the airways. This is the most common type of sleep apnea and typically the kind that people are referring to when they talk about sleep apnea. CSA is far less common and results when the brain fails to signal the muscles to perform breathing functions.
